Responsible for all contractual matters relating to the earthworks subcontracts for these projects, utilizing Balfour Beatty’s bespoke conditions of contract. Thesse projects consisted of some 34km of dual carriageway and excavation of over 3million m³ of soil. Duties included:

• Estimating, tendering and pre-contract negotiations
• Negotiation of contract conditions
• Supervision of Staff
• Procurement and management of sub-contractors
• Interim applications
• Identification and valuation of variations and extension of time
• Preparation of claims and management of legal representation for Arbitration proceedings
• Negotiation of final accounts and commercial settlement agreements
